wonder if it's the stress i've been facing recently, but i'm exceptionally emotional these few weeks. feeling very heartwarmed by a lot of things said/done by some frens, even tho it was done via the virtual space, across continents etc. realli wanna do sth for all mi good frens out dere who are facing probs. long-time good frens are realli never to b, n never can be replaced isn't it?

hop scotch. aeroplane chess. marbles. diy styrofoam plane. flipping rubber game. pick up stix. a tube of weird coloured stuff where u can blow into a plastic balloon wif a straw, n smash it into a fren's face. happy family cards.

does any of these sound familiar to u? at least it does to me. these were all the games i played when i was young. on saturday, i went to part-time at mi cousin's event, where the theme is balik kampung, revisiting all the old childhood games, wooden tables n chairs, ding ding candy n malt candy, n even a barber who doesn't use a shaver! he uses this weird shaped thing which looks like a eyelash curler in mi opinion to cut hair. n his customers get to sit on this wooden stool, i duno how to describe, but once u c it u'll confirm identify wif it, providing u belong to mi generation. hehe

so i had a good sense of nostalgia working at this event. n for entertainment purposes, they haf this game which i guess is sorta copied from tw. it's a game where u'll haf 4 flags, all different coloured, controlled by ur hands n legs. the host will gif commands "red flag up, white flag down, blue flag mus come up" and u'll haf to stupidly follow the commands lah. to gif u all a betta idea, here's a video of us playing it, after everyone has left.
p/s: take note of the rightmost player in the 1st min.. nearly spoilt the props!! lol

hmm the resolution of the video very poor.. when i get a betta version from mi cousin n if i'm hardworking i'll change it ok? hehe

i liked the game, ever since i watched it on a tw variety show yrs ago. if i asked u which type of ppl cannot play this game, i guess the common answers will be
1) ppl who are colour blind
2) ppl who cannot coordinate their hands n legs well
3) ppl who are slow

well i haf another grp of ppl to contribute.
4) ppl who are partially deaf.

n i belong to this last category.. not literally i meant. i dun haf doctors' verification or wat. i jus happen to tink so. which is y i lost.. i cannot hear the commands properly!! haha

As most of u noe, i'm oni a S'porean PR. i.e i'm not local n i'm a malaysian. n as most of u noe too, i've been born n bred in SG. hence i'll admit i'm very non-malaysian. i duno how to speak malay. dunno mi way ard malaysia. ne'er lived in malaysia for more den a mth anytime in mi life.

The mystery of the missing cup noodle.

day: today
time: 8am
scenario:
boil water, brush teeth, go toilet. water boiled, turn to get cup noodle. !!!!!!!!! it's gone!

suspect no. 1 = mummy
analysis:
impossible. she will NEVER eat my cup noodle.

suspect no. 2 = younger bro
analysis:
well.. he couldn't b so cruel enough to eat it for breakfast after he has eaten his share for supper ytd. n he jolly well noes tt cup is mine! n he, being a lazy bum, will haf no time in the morning to gobble down a cup noodle.

suspect no. 3 = father
analysis:
can't b sure.. so i called him. he's the oni one i can call cos both mummy n younger bro cannot pick up fone at work/in sch. n daddy duno the whereabouts of mi cup noodles. so not him.

looking thru a foto blog of a prev jc fren. currently in aust now for studies. had a bf since when i knew her. tt's at least abt 5yrs now. she had her bdae recently, n he sent her her bdae present.. handmade!!!

so sweet lah.. 5 yrs into the r/s, still make so much effort.. commendable leh.. this stationery holder, the cute anime character, the coconut tree, the testtube. damn sweet. n as if this is not sweet enuff, he even implanted a surprise in the present!!

well the contents in this little secret compartment is a necklace wif a ring.. now now.. where the hell do u find such guys ard anymore.. so sweet n romantic.. i'm so jealous.

super stressed wif all the workload.. who the hell gets so stressed in week 2...

1) fyp research, with no serious clue as to where i'm heading, yet having to keep up wif research.
2) proj meeting, sam as guest appearance, where regina n sam discuss abt the proj, wif me having seriously no clue as to wat they're toking abt.. they're so zai.. n all the way till after the meeting, i still m not sure wat the proj realli wans us to do.. n where to head from here.
3) tuts all piling in..
4) still struggling to kick miself into the mugging mode.. i jus cant do it.. i keep on escaping.. which is y i'm blogging here.

Choices for earlier:
1) watch recorded tv shows.. abt 2 hours worth
2) do econs tut
3) read fyp research

Final decision:
come online n rot.

well but tho i was feeling all stressed n bad mood, i managed to tok to 2 good frens.

1st one is to ask some crappy Q, probably wif a hidden hope tt she'll cheer me up.

2nd one is upon sudden realisation tt she's been on an emotional rollercoaster recently. as her usual self, she doesn't share until she's abit over the depressing period. haizz tt ger. so being stressed n not in a good mood, i was rather emotional n caring, n so i toked to her. n again, being her usual self, she doesn't go into details when she's not ready to share. so even tho i oni managed to get very brief answers to mi numerous Qs, i'm glad i managed to express concern, n hopefully be able to b part of this while she tries to rough out this stupid patch of life.

so for some reason, i managed to feel betta after this 2 conversation.. tt's y i'm blogging rather happily now.. yet again i've managed to escape from reality.. further pushing bac things tt'll make me upset.. so stupid things tt keep me sad. till we meet again! probably tml. hahha

i've been having quite some encounters wif rubbish bins these 2 days...

incident no. 1 (date: 22/8/06, venue: in sch)
description:
walking along a wall, made a sharp turn along a corner, n banged right straight into a rubbish bin. those green green ones u noe? nearly made it fall. hahaha. but being a gong sotong, i laughed out loud, made a joke outta it.. n oni feel paise after tt. :P luckily it's at a secluded area loh, u all noe behind chinese lib, where the lockers are? dere loh. if got a lot of ppl i cfm paise until die.

incident no. 2 (date: 24/8/06 early afternoon, venue: my room)
description:
wanted to open a drawer, but mi rubbish bin was in front of it, so i pushed it aside n it fell over, spilling the contents. |||-.-

*di di di di di*

my milo radar beeped when i alighted from 96 at central lib today. i finally spotted a milo truck since sch reopen!!! but cos i was rushing for lessons, so i couldn't go drink free milo. immediately after lesson, the whole bunch of us, milo fanatics, went rushing for milo. but apparently they're doing some guiness world record thing so we had to register. so we Q-ed up. but, cos we're obsessed wif the free milo, we actualli silly-ly registered for some crane-folding competition instd!!! wth.. so since milo truck haven open, we shun bian help to fold crane loh.. for charity mah. Song He company is gonna donate 50c for every crane folded. wah very gan cheong okie. the emcees keep on saying "we've 5 mins left" "we've 1 min 20s left". wah lau tho i'm not interested to help them get the world record or sth. but naturally become gan cheong loh. haha.. but quite fun lah.. :)

so after the crane-folding event, it's time for milo truck!! so everyone started crowding ard the milo truck, which is smack in the middle of central forum. this time the record is abt drinking the most amt of milo in 10min. den everyone wait wait, cos the organisers gotta arrange tables n barriers so tt it wun become a stampede.. u shld c the super kiasu crowd loh.. haha. so while i was waiting, i spotted an interesting thing. MILO MASCOT!! hahaha... i was too embarrassed to request to take foto wif it loh.

hehe so anywae we continued to wait.. den finally start!!! so everyone rush to the milo truck. supposedly u shld take a cup of milo den leave. but the stupid crowd take liao den keep on staying dere n drink. kaoz.. so after waiting for abt 4min, we decided it's useless n decided to leave.

This is the stupid crowd that doesn't move!!! causing me not to haf any milo T_T

so irritating.. after all the anticipation, no free ice cold milo! hope it'll come bac soon.

oh i 4got to say one thing. on mi way bac home, i was listening to 933 news, which was reporting abt this event. so the crane-folding got into Singapore records, apparently is abt 9000 cranes in 1 hour. den the other is a Guiness world record, fastest crane folding in 5 min, a indiv record. the name was announced loh. so imagine this. a silly student like me, walk past central forum, saw this event going on. decided to try out for the competition, folded 6 cranes in 5 mins. n voila! u got urself a place in the book of guiness world records! it's so 莫名其妙 and unfair to those who work hard for years in order to get a place in the book loh. |||^_^

so anywae after lunch, we decided to play bridge, cos xingyou got a set of new poker cards from Ireland from a fren which looks realli cute. hehe. but cos we 三缺一, we ended up playing a whole load of different games, n even improvised a card game so tt we can play using poker cards. we oso attempted playing 3-person bridge, where one set of cards is left closed. well the highlight was of cos not the game playing, instd it was all the lame jokes n laughing tt was the fun part.

Today is Sunday. n to my definition, it's family day. cos no matter if mi elder bro is out, or if mi younger bro dun wanna go out wif us, or if mi dad has to work, my mum is free on sunday morns and i always make an effort to accompany her, no matter at home or out. n mi dad will oso always make an effort to either bring mi mum out, or at least bring us out for lunch, unless he realli cannot siam from work of cos.

So today, mi dad suggested going to this furniture n electrical applicances exhibition in Expo. well it turned out to b pretty disappointing. Considering the distance travelled from Wdls to Expo, the painful walk under the hot sun from the carpark to the exhibition hall (the Expo car parks were full due to some church svc going on) and the anticipation of a grand n good exhibition, it turned out to b not as big, variety not as extensive, and the "electrical appliances" oni meant 1 or 2 sites of air-con. -.-

but well, dere was this particular bedframe which attracted me very much. it's called "hiddenbed". So wat i saw was this.

and then the next moment, it became like this.

hahaha.. i found it so cool loh.. when u flip down/up the bed, the table remains parallel, so dere's no need to clear the table or wat b4 u flip down the bed to slp. n the idea of a table is very appealing to me, cos mi room is too packed to haf a tablespace. i always end up doing mi work on mi bed, or in the living room. n the idea of jus flipping up the bed is very appealing too, cos it means even when i dun make mi bed, no one can c it. hahha.. n it's very space saving. n imagine the fun when someone enters ur room, "eh where's ur bed? u dun slp in ur room?" so fun!!! haha. so all in all, i like it alot!! but oh well, the oni bad news, which is oso the most crucial one, is tt it's too expensive lah.. the model u all c in the pic rite, it costs $2000+++ loh. not worth it for a bed frame.

okie well tt was the lowlight of the day. cos i c something i realli like but wun b able to get it. okie lah mayb i dun realli like it that much. i jus like the concept of it all. realli cool isnt' it? so now i sitll haf to tink of a way to revamp mi room so tt it can house 2 more occupants. tt's something to worry abt, for those who noe how mi room looks like. it can oni b cramped to a certain extent! haha.

now for the highlight of the day. after my dad got home from work, we ventured on the 2nd trip of the day. apparently Gain city has landed itself in marina sq, so mi dad wanna go take a look. so, being a nice ger looking for an excuse to not do work, i went. after completing mi dad's itinery, (walking ard gain city + having dinner), i decided to carry on wif mi own itinery: look for a pair of slippers/shoes/watever, jus something to wear on mi feet n matches well wif mi clothings. yesh, we're toking abt mi dad, shopping wif me! be surprised, be watever, mi parents are special n i love them. :)

okie i'm finally getting to the pt. while i was in the toilet Q-ing and waiting for mi turn to shit, mi dad mus hav walked ard the teenagers' corner (cos tt's where we were, n i din tell him i wanted to shit so he cannot go far. oops) and located most shops tt sold footwear. cos after i finished looking thru the shops tt i noe sell shoes, he brought me to POA, which says "50% off shoes".

i went in hesitant, cos POA stuff are expensive, and came out a happy and satisfied ger. cos guess wat, i bot 2 pairs of shoes (1 slippers and 1 covered shoes), for a grand total of S$22!!! wat the hell rite?! the shoes inside were oni originally priced $22 or $32.90, so after 50% off i consider it dirt cheap! okie lah mayb not dirt cheap, cos dirt cheap will mean to me like $2 or something. but i still consider all these a bargain. n if the quality is good, i'll revisit POA for shoes in future!

hmmm i've always had the trouble of expressing myself or articulating my thoughts. n alot of times while during normal conversation, i'll suddenly say something totally insensitive, n dunno how to react n apologise cos i dun even noe if the person took wat i said to heart. so most of the time i'll jus keep quiet 1st. n by the time i formulated wat i shld say or wat, it'll b quite inappropriate to bring up the topic oredi. so it'll go silenced.

perhaps it's cos i'm slow lah. i tink i'm chi2 dun4. i hear b4 tt arguing is oso a form of communication. but i tink it doesn't wrk well for me. when i argue wif someone, (history has oso proven this), i'll lose out badly cos the person will scold scold scold, n i'll rebutt abit. but in a later part of the arguement, i'll like tink bac n realise tt dere's something more abt the pt earlier tt i wanna bring across, so tt the person i'm arguing wif noe how i genuinely feel. tt's the spirit of arguing rite. but wat do u expect? tt i sudden go barging to whereever the person is, den pick up the pt n start ranting again? it's jus so too late n inappropriate loh. i'm lousy at expressing myself.

so anywae, those who're reading this, if occasionally when we're toking, i suddenly said something which makes u tink tt i'm insensitive n makes u feel uncomfy/hurt, pls forgive me okie. i realli dun mean it. n sometimes i do realise tt, jus tt i duno how to say sorry. furthermore, i'm a sneaky person. i'm those type who if i dun like u, wanna tok bad abt u, i'll do it behind ur back. i'll ne'er say it in front of u. in fact, u may not even noe i dun like u cos i dun show it. but i'm not hypocritical okie, if i dun like u i wun make the effort of striking a conversation wif u. i'll oni reply when u tok to me tho.

so as long as i bother to strike a conversation wif u, dun worry. u're safe. i dun dislike u. hahah

i learnt on tues, the day of our bbq, tt my clique of ny 4/5 gers are called the rainbow gers. n i happen to b.. red i tink. huh? i din noe tt like TOTALLY. someone pls gotta tell me the origins of this okie?

so it all started with the nice xiuli, simin and ngla who came to pick mi up in nus despite them being nicely settled in xiuli's hse oredi. reach le, realise still got some food tt's not marinated yet. i said "how can i help? but disclaimer is i'm always a parasite in bbqs". n it's true. for many yrs oredi, i've jus always turned up when the fire has started n food is ready? haha.. or i'll turn up n chit chat wif the parasites, leaving the rest(read guys, or for mi squadmates' case, they simply love to prepare. i'll jus do some sai gung) to do the job :P but for this day, no parasites, so i gotta help. well i still managed to do the simplest job. i oni spread sambal chilli on the sotongs n sting rays, which were cleaned n washed by simin n xiuli, n den i wrap them up into the Al foil, not to mention the need for simin to teach me "shiny side inside", when i'm the one studying physics ard here. lol

when tt was done, while waiting for other "colours" to arrive, we adjourned to the basement of the hse, where dere was a projector wif a huge screen n sound sys, for us to sing ktv!!! hey someday we shld hold a vcd/dvd marathon dere okie rainbow gers?

okie the nex thing was finally starting the bbq. 1st step: start fire. haven been starting fires ever since i graduated from ny, when i was in SJAB. i'm supposed to noe how to start a fire. but i noe i wasn't good. so i happily pushed the responsibility to the NPCC ger, and the Guides. haha.. but i couldn't resist the nostalgia n fun of starting a fire. or perhaps, i was just trying to prove tt i was of help in this whole thing yah? n i m now proud to say, i'm a good fan ger! whenever the firestarter got extinguished, i managed to fan it to life! so after a lot of survival skills from the SJAB, NPCC and Guides gers, also the finale by xiuli's auntie, we managed to get a great fire! dere after starts our sumptuous feast. yumyum.

after hours of bitching, red knuckles due to marshmellowing, drinking malibu w pineapple juice and chivas, someone getting high due to the alcohol, we decided to call it a day, n ngla's nice bf sent me, genyi, simin and ngla home. well he din haf much of a choice. afterall, we're jus a bunch of gers who always exploit guys yah? hehe.. travelling from bukit timah to clementi to jurong to wdls to cck to bedok is no joke yeah? hahahaa... so to credit this poor chap, i'll post a small foto of him n his gf :P

i'm starting to get stressed. sch's gonna start in a few days. i'm still very blur abt everything. ivle announcements, prof's announcements.. etc start flooding mi NUS mail. i clear mi mail everyday, so tt i dun miss out impt stuff.. but when i c "ivle file in workbin", i jus read n close. i dun delete it. procrastinate. but not as if i'll read it again the nex time i chk mi inbox. duhz. i'm overwhelmed wif the workload stacking onto mi shoulders.

i duno how everyone's feeling n tinking after their consultation wif their profs. but i sure was abit overwhelmed. well for one i escaped the 1st step of meeting up wif the prof alone, something which i was quite worried abt, cos i was doing almost the same topic as weiting, so we met the prof together, along with edmund who was doing another proj under the same sup.

well mi prof apparently is a new prof. n an angmoh. wah he chao enthu loh.

chao enthu symptoms
1) he gave up his own chair to us cos dere's not enuff chairs
2) he gave a presentation to us on our topics as if we're his clients.
3) he gave me a phD thesis paper on my topic to read up on.
4) he asked us how often we wanna meet up. "once a week? ...." (normally u would tink the nex line will b "once every 2 weeks?" rite? NOOOOOOOOOO. ) it was "once a week? twice a week? everyday?"
5) he was worried tt comp centre will b packed most of the time n we wun haf pcs to use. so he suggested setting up pcs in his office for us to use (which he noes SGreans students dun like), or putting them in some spot where oni we can use. den he asked if we've laptops. turns out i'm the oni one who doesn't. so he said "u cannot do without a computer. we'll c how. i'll either LEND U ONE OF MINE, or set up a special corner for all of u to use." so wat's wrong wif mi own home computer? hehe
6) he wans us to do presentations of wat we've like say monthly!!

well he wans us to do research on our topics 1st, den the derivation of the model part he oredi has a model. so he'll guide us n make sure we understd each step n eqn. den he oredi got matlab code for the models n he offered to pass to us. so at the end of the day, wat is dere for me to do for mi final yr proj? n i duno if his chap-enthu-ness is gonna do me good or bad. weekly updates n research is no joke. but it'll stress me to b conscientious. =|

but as usual, i haven done anything. y? PROCRASTINATE.

I was on a bus, travelling on BKE, looking out at the scenery, part of the reason y i like to take buses. Suddenly!! i spotted the moon! haha wat's the big deal rite, but it was broad daylight at 5pm leh. i tot even if the moon is in the sky, it's not supposed to b seen cos dere's sunlight mah. i was excited, so i quickly took out mi camera, n took a few shots of it, ermm yes on the running bus. hehe

find it blardy cool lah! :) it's not painfully obvious in the foto tho. try to hunt for it heh.

anywae for the info of all who duno, moon rise n set at diff timings thruout the entire lunar month. tt's y we can c moons at different times of the day on different days. courtesy of heavenly maths. hehe.. ever since tt mod i've been looking alot more at the things in our surroundings. mus appreciate nature, n wat's ard us okie? :)

anywae tt occurred when i was on mi way to a class gathering. my sec sch gathering. haha.. hard to believe tt i've oredi graduated from ny 6 yrs le. ARGH. n this is oni the 2nd mass gathering we had. hehe.. shows how not close we r rite? yep so initially i was abit sian of going. cos after slacking for the hols, everyday i jus wanna stay home n nua n b a loner. hahaha. den somemore mus like ying4 chou2 loh.. if u get wat i mean. recently i've been living by the principle tt "if u tink u dun wanna tok, or dun wanna make effort to keep aquaintances close, jus dun!!"

but at the end of it, i'm glad i went afterall. thruout the gathering, i actualli wasn't toking too much. i oni tried to crack some jokes outta wat mi ex-classmates were toking abt. rather superficial? i guess so. but altho i din pour mi heart out, or like tok sincerely like wat i do wif close frens, i'm glad i managed to find out wat my ex-classmates are doing now. have they graduated, wat they are/were studying, their relationship status, wat they're working as if they've graduated, or wat they're gonna work as, things abt their bfs etc. i mean, dere wun b a case when we run outta things to say. come on. it's a big bunch of bitches okie? lol.. if one runs of out things to say, another will definitely haf something to say. hehe.

but the oni thing i was sorta realli satisfied wif this outing, is the last part, when one of them offered to send me home.

haha i was rather paiseh leh.. cos i din noe she stays om wdls too. hahaha.. n i dunno her well mah, so take her car oso abit weird. but in the end i took lah, cos i wanna rush home to watch tv haha.. so i was abit worried tt it'll b awkward in the car. cos i'm not exactly sociable recently. but we actualli chatted the way home lah, duno if she's making the effort or i was making the effort. n b4 i alighted, she said "we din realli tok much in the past too rite?" i nodded.

so i was glad, happy, n watever. cos i got to noe an ex-classmate betta, one whom i din even noe much in sec sch when i get to c her everyday. guess i was too pre-occupied wif mi stjohn stuff. :)

i tink it's amazing to haf class gathering once every few yrs. we're in a phase of our life where every few yrs, the topics to chat abt will b totally different. the 1st gathering couple of yrs ago, i believe we tok abt stuff like "studying where, studying wat, bf". this time round we tok abt "studying where, studying wat, graduation, job, steady bfs". the nex time we meet, we'll probably b toking abt "working where, steady bfs, married, kids".

after the late nights reading thru the 164 fyp topics, after much fretting over to do computational or experimental fyps, after much choosing over which profs are betta as supervisors, a priority list was finally drawn up, and fyp balloting was carried out on friday.

the balloting procedure was very not advanced. no computers were involved, it was very manual, with undergrads grabbing their matric cards, rushing down to the bottom of the LT where envelopes representing the fyp topics were placed. it was a frenzy, everyone was feeling the envelopes, to c if there was oredi someone interested in the topic. peeping into the envelopes, hoping to c tt it's someone u noe so tt u can bargain wif him/her. some more courageous ppl jus put their cards in, despite the envelope oredi containing 4 or 5 cards, confident tt they'll b lucky in the lucky draw n get their desired topic.

i was lucky. or smart. watever u wanna say. i forfeited my top 2 choices as i din wanna engage myself in the lucky draw thingy. put mi matric card in mi 3rd choice, towards the end of the round, so oredi sorta assured tt i'll haf a walkover n get the topic. n tt it was, i got it. :)

announcing of the results was funny. it was patrick who did the job. jus basically opened every envelope, announce the topic no, how many cards were inside, did lucky draw if necessary, n announce the winner of the topic. but it was funny in the sense u can hear the difference btw the ppl he knew n he din know.

ppl he din noe: " XXX ". surname n name all pronounced formally.
ppl he knew: " XX ". or "X", if it was an english name. no surname was said, n it was said wif the typical patrick accent. the abit ahbeng n bo chup accent. haha.

many ppl say computer balloting would b more fair. i agree wif tt too. but this way of balloting is fun! it trains us in terms of psycology too mah. it's like "hmm i shldn't put this as 1st choice. confirm a lot of ppl wan this" etc during the preliminary stage when u're still choosing ur topics. den on the day itself, u go down to the envelope field, n den u walk ard looking thru the envelopes, seeing which topics have a lot of ppl fighting for it. i find tt rather interesting. n the last thing was the thrill of getting picked in the lucky draw if u've other ppl fighting for the same topic as ya.

okie mayb u all tink i'm mad. but i'm always fascinated wif silly stuffs. hehe.

*nods*. i went for the last NDP tt's gonna b held in the national stadium, courtesy of cheewei's dad, who cannot make it last min. despite the heavy rain when i left my hse for the preview, kallang's weather was exceptionally good n the stadium was dry, much to my delight. :) upon reaching kallang mrt, i was greeted by a sea of red. hehe. i totally like forgot tt ppl will all wear red on this day. luckily coincidentally i was wearing pink. so i sort of blended in well. lol. anywae, after meeting cheewei n family, we decided to take the shuttle bus provided to the stadium.

haha look at the sea of red, and the no. of ppl Q-ing for the bus! they even had mascots to entertain the ppl. well dere's a cuter mascot in pink, but i din manage to capture it heh. well the shuttle bus took a damn long time to reach. tink it took abt half an hour? luckily i had a place to sit. :p i managed to catch some shots of the crowd Q-ing to get into the stadium too, n dere were ppl hired to perform and entertain the crowd.

since we reached late, we had to sit all the way up at the last few rolls of audience. not tt i'm complaining, i can get a good view of everyone! nah below are a few photos of the crowd + some self-entertainment shots.

after this i preoccupied myself with looking thru the contents of the goodie bags. this yr's goodie bag is realli good! hehe.. got alot of things. the 1st performance to go was all the parachuters. wah seh i tell u, they're realli cool loh. the 1st 3 were supposed to hit the target platform, and 2 outta 3 did tt! the one who din manage to hit the target was oso a near miss oni. but mi favourite part were the nex few ones, their landings were so cool! machiam trying to perform stunt lidat. they dun land immediately. instd, they had this few seconds when they hang in mid-air, a few metres above ground. so cool!! hehe..

nex was the contingent. admittedly this is the part where everyone jus stoned or look thru their goodie or chat, simply not paying attn. but come one! they're very xinku okie, standing still cannot move, wait for all 4 languages' of songs to b sung. aiyoh i always loved this part of ndp, mainly cos i was from uniform grp last time, n i was in the footdrill dept of my sch tt time? so when i heard all the commands the commander was shouting, tho i kinda 4got most of wat the commands meant, but i was able to figure out wat was happening thru their actions. n it stirred up a lot of memories for me. :)

oh above oso haf a foto of the sunset. can u all c? sitting high up can see nice blue sky, nice white clouds, and nice sunset. with the moon risen oredi too! den after tt the performance finally started. the pt where ppl started paying attn, but oso the pt when i start to pay less attn. dun realli appreciate the performances. haha. but i was busy trying to c wat shape the performers were trying to form. dere is a screen at the side of the stadium where it will show the shape they were forming, and the meaning to it. i was rather impressed. very nice mah, the performers managed to do it. oh anywae i mentioned we were sitting top rolls of the audience rite? ltr we found out tt the fireworks were to b launched right behind us! cos the NS guys were distributing transparent umbrellas to let us shield from the fireworks sparks. i was very happy, cos it meant tt i'll noe when the fireworks are coming and i can film it down wif mi camera. so when the NS guys told us to open umbrella, i on-ed mi camera n kept on waiting.. waiting.. waiting..

den mi battery went flat!!! wat the hell!!! fireworks haven even launched! n b4 i left mi hse i promised my mum i'll capture the fireworks n show her. she din request for it or said "yeah". but i was the one who made the offer mah :( i was so sad leh. but at this time, cheewei took out her fone n started taking photos. at that time i nearly wanted to slap myself in the forehead! how could i haf forgot tt i've my handphone! somemore i spent so much money to get a 2megapixel camera and video. this was the perfect occasion to use it loh. haha.. thank u cheewei for reminding me :) we were SO close to the fireworks. the fireworks were so big loh hehe.

oh den after the fireworks still got balloons loh.. pretty!

i was thinking bac to the no. of times i went for ndp. cannot realli rem actualli, cos i've short term memory. hehe. but i've at least gone for 4 times. being a non-singaporean, i find myself lucky for having gone so many times oredi! hehe, considering tt my parents + a lot of singaporeans haven gone even once. :) i vaguely remember going to ndp wif mi auntie when i was young, tho duno wat time. so at least 1. den once was in secondary sch, when mi whole sch had to perform in ndp. tt time i even had the chance to march as a sjab member in e ndp contingent okie?!~ but in the end i had to join the pretty performance instd of look smart and stand for 1 hour in the sun. hehe. den the last 2 times were more recent, this few yrs oni. one with ngla, and another is this yr wif cheewei loh. outta all these 4 times i went to, the deepest impression was the time in secondary sch. nothing beats the satisfaction of performing successfully the hard work and effort put in for a long time. n not to mention the ambience present tt time. our performance was the last performance wif vanessa may i tink. so straight after our performance, with the music, fireworks shoot the air. so nice!!! hehe.

all in all, i hope nex yr or the yrs to come i can get tix to let my parents go for at least 1 time to ndp.
